We are a small, accounting firm based at the gateway to the Yarra Valley. We are seeking a part-time experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. We pride ourselves on personalised tax solutions to our valued clients.

The Role

The role requires you to have a strong background in Australian tax laws and compliance. It provides for flexible on-site work hours in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be highly skilled with the ability to confidently prepare:

·         Individual, Partnership, Trust, Superannuation and Company tax returns

·         BAS and IAS returns for lodgement

·         GST compliance reports

·         Financial Statements for all types of entities

·         Bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks

·         Maintaining accurate client records and documentation

Requirements

·         Minimum 2 years’ current experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm

·         Solid understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations

·         Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., HandiTax, MYOB, Quickbooks,Xero)

·         Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills, well presented

·         Relevant qualifications in the Accounting and Taxation field

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

·         Permanent Australian Resident or Citizen (Sorry no sponsorships)
