ABOUT THE CENTRES

Healthways Recreation Centre is based in Mont Albert North.  Facilities include:

  • Gym

  • 3 Group Exercise Studios

  • 3 lane 25m Swimming pool

  • Creche

  • 8 lane bowling lanes

  • Function/Party rooms

Healthways Aquatic Centre is based in Ringwood.  Facilities include:

Healthways Payroll and Accounts Officer

Overall purpose of job:

  • To provide accurate and timely processing of company’s payroll & accounts.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities:

  • Payroll:

    • Processing payroll on a weekly basis, including:

      • Setting up new staff

      • Processing timesheets

      • Following up errors

      • Processing back pay queries

      • Rolling over superannuation data

    • Updating and maintaining payroll/staff records.

    • Maintaining leave, sickness and flexi-time reports.

    • Sending out reminders when staff qualifications fall due. Chasing up any outstanding staff qualifications.

    • Liaising with staff and management on payroll related tasks.

  • Accounts:

    • Processing client payments, including:

      • Direct debits

      • Online payments

      • Client portal payments

      • Following up queries and errors

    • Processing 3rd party payments, including:

      • NDIS invoicing and receipts

      • TAC/Workcover/Insurance payments

      • Government voucher programs

      • Following up queries and errors

    • Processing corporate client invoicing, including:

      • Schools

      • 3rd party hirers

    • Processing refunds and maintaining payment records.

    • Liaising with clients, staff and management on accounts related tasks.

□ Excellent written and spoken communication.

□ Able to exercise initiative, discretion and judgment at times in the performance of their duties.

Location of role:

This role is based on-site at our premises in Mont Albert North, Melbourne.

Time required:

Days required for the role are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays.

Traditionally, this role has been done during school hours 9.15am-3.15pm (5.5 hours per day). As such this role is 16.5 hours per week, however, there is a bit of flexibility with how many hours are done on each day and at what time of the day, as long as deadlines are being met.

Deadlines exist for payroll tasks on Wednesdays, and accounts tasks on Thursdays. It is important that payroll is processed in a timely manner each week, so we do require someone who can commit to the role and be reliable. Performance issues around absenteeism does not work in this role as staff are relying on receiving their wages on time. Please don’t apply if you have any concerns about your reliability.

Wage:

This role is permanent part time. This role exists in a team of admin officers, starting at $29.69/hr (incl. super) for a person with entry level experience, to $35.59 (incl. super) for a person who can be a team leader and mentor other team members.
