What You’ll Do

We are seeking an Accountant to deliver core accounting services and play a key role in ensuring the financial success for our Australia and New Zealand operations.  Reporting to the Financial Controller your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate coding and reporting of financial transactions, including managing receivable collection process to continually improve aged debtors.

  • Reconciliation and management of the Account Manager Expense software with credit card statements.

  • Support payroll processing and reporting in compliance with Australian taxation and industrial regulations.

  • Prepare, review and analyse financial statements including monthly and annual profit & loss reports, balance sheets and reconciliations. Help prepare monthly reports to Head Office and help with annual audit requirements.

  • Maintain and improve internal control systems and monthly workflows to ensure data accuracy and compliance

  • Assist with cash flow monitoring and provide operational financial insights to support business decisions.

  •  Assist in the preparation of FBT, BAS and income tax returns for the company, ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation,

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years proven experience in an accounting-focused role (bookkeeping plus financial reporting & compliance).

  • Strong working knowledge in an Accounting Software.

  • Excellent financial reconciliation, reporting and analytical skills.

  • Understanding of Australian taxation, payroll compliance and statutory reporting.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients/projects remotely.

  • Intermediate MS Excel skills.
