PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Accounts Receivable Administrator in Melbourne, Australia on a full-time permanent basis, reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager. JOB SUMMARY: The successful candidate will join Portwest’s office in Altona as part of a busy Accounts Receivable team. This role involves managing daily cash receipts, reconciling accounts, and supporting credit control functions. The position is full-time, onsite, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (38 hours per week). Key Responsibilities Enter daily cash receipts across multiple banksManually allocate cash and follow up on any unallocated paymentsPerform cash book reconciliationsRecord and allocate customer rebatesRespond to customer inquiries and resolve payment issues promptlyGenerate aged debtors reports to provide insights into AR status and performanceLiaise with internal staff as necessary to ensure accurate financial recordsProvide backup support to the credit control teamCarry out ad hoc duties as required Requirements Strong customer-focused approach with excellent attention to detailProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Apps & ServicesDegree in Business Studies/Accounting, or an Accounting Technician qualificationMinimum 1 year of general accounts experienceAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsMust be available to work onsite from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (38 hours per week) Company Awards Great Place To Work 2024 Private Irish Business of the year – Export Industry Awards 2025Silver Ecovadis Sustainability Rating 2025 Applicants must have a right to live and work in the relevant jurisdiction.
