Our client is a billion dollar organisation in the automotive industry that operates 8 dealerships across Victoria.

Description

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, KPIs, and actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Develop and enhance financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor performance across key operational departments.
• Lead monthly review meetings with department managers, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommending improvement actions.
• Complete intercompany reconciliations and support year‑end processes, including financial statements, audit schedules, and auditor liaison.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and scenario modelling aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee cash management, receipting compliance, and daily cashflow monitoring.
• Provide commercial and operational financial support, including pricing analysis, margin reviews, cost assessments, and profitability improvement initiatives.
• Analyse departmental and product‑line performance, presenting insights and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
• Monitor warranty claims, receivables, supervise stocktakes with strong variance investigation.
• Strengthen internal controls, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliant document retention and records management.

Profile

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related
• CA/CPA qualified
• Big 4/Mid Tier Background preferred (audit or business services)
• Commercially minded with strong communication skills to partner across Sales, Service, Parts and Administration
• Strong understanding of internal controls, process governance and continuous improvement.
• Experience in automotive industry preferred but not essential.
• Has an Australian drivers licence and is willing to travel monthly to regional dealerships (4 days in Epping, 4 days in Warrnambool)
