Senior Accounts Officer

📍 Location: Epping 🕒 Full-Time Position

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to join a fast-paced, operationally focused business? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Officer to support the financial operations of our growing mobile crane company.

About the Role

Reporting to the Directing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, job costing, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial reporting. You will work closely with operations and scheduling teams to ensure accurate job billing and cost allocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable

• Prepare and issue crane hire and project-based invoices

• Monitor debtor balances and follow up outstanding accounts

• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations

• Support payroll processing, including operator hours and allowances

• Assist with monthly financial reporting and budget preparation

• Maintain fixed asset register (including cranes and equipment)

• Support audit and compliance requirements

About You

• 3–5+ years’ experience in a senior accounts or similar role

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Experience with job costing or project-based billing (construction/heavy industry preferred)

• High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience with accounting software MYOB or similar

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment

Industry experience in construction, crane hire, transport, or heavy equipment will be highly regarded.
