Senior Tax Accountant (Business Services)

Are you a CPA or CA Qualified Accountant with 5 plus years of Public Practice experience and absolutely confident about your practical Corporate and Trust Tax knowledge?? Progression Accountants & Business Advisors Pty Ltd is a long established and well positioned firm of Certified Practising Accountants located in the heart of Heidelberg.

Our client base is almost entirely SME's with associated entities including Superannuation Funds. Our competitive edge comes from our progressive Management, embracing an entirely paperless environment, impressive IT capacity and utilisation of Xero Practice Management software.

A position has become available for a full time Senior Accountant to come and join our friendly team. To be successful in this role you MUST have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Without those skills you need not apply.

You must also have excellent organisational and time management skills, have an ability to meet deadlines, effectively prioritise work, quickly resolve issues and have a strong work ethic.

Your Primary responsibilities will ultimately include, but are not limited to;

Manage key relationships with existing and new clients

Preparation of Income Tax Returns

Experience with Xero Tax and MYOB Tax software is required for tax return preparation.

Preparation of Business Financial Statements

Preparation of Business Activity Statements

Provision of Tax Planning Advice
