We are a busy accounting firm located in Melbourne's eastern suburbs seeking a reliable and organised Administration Assistant / Accounts Receivable & Payable to join our team on a part-time basis.
This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and experience supporting accounting teams. You will assist with day-to-day office administration as well as accounts payable and receivable duties.
About the roleThis role involves accounts receivable and payable, assisting with general administartion and supporting reception when required. You will also liaise with clients and help the team maintain efficient day-to-day operations. The position is ideal for someone with experience in an accounting or professional services environment who is comfortable using systems such as Xero, Outlook and Hubdoc.
This is an office-based, part-time position working approx. 20 hours per week.

Key responsibilitiesManaging accounts receivable and accounts payable
Assisting with general administration tasks and support
Supporting reception when required
Liaising with clients via phone and email
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Previous administration / Accounts Receivable experience, ideally within an accounting or professional services firm
Accounting / ATO knowledge or experience
Experience using Xero
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
Experience with Hubdoc (preferred but not essential)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication
