Part time Accountant – Public Practice (Croydon South)

We’re a friendly public practice in Croydon South, and we’re on the lookout for another Accountant to join our team.

About the Role

In this role, you will work across a mix of clients and tasks. You’ll be supported by experienced seniors and partners, but you’ll also have the chance to take ownership of your work and build your technical skills. This role is ideal for someone with public practice experience who is eager to build their technical skills, engage with clients, and be part of a fantastic team!

Key Responsibilities

·         Preparation of financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs

·         Completion of income tax returns, BAS, IAS, and FBT returns

·         Assisting with tax planning and business advisory work

·         Build strong relationships with clients and help them navigate day‑to‑day accounting and tax queries

·         Work with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and other cloud systems

·         Be part of a team that values ideas, improvements, and good coffee

About You

You’re someone who likes public practice, enjoys working with a variety of clients, and wants to keep learning.

We’re looking for someone who:

·         Has minimum 3 years’ experience in an Australian public practice

·         Has an Accounting/Commerce degree

·         CA/CPA completed (or near completion)

·         Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements

·         Is comfortable with cloud accounting software (Xero and SF360 are a bonus!)

·         Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

·         A positive attitude and willingness to learn

·         Interest in a part‑time arrangement (we’re flexible on days and hours)
