About the Role:

We’re seeking a Manager – Tax & Accounting to lead a high-performing team and a significant client portfolio. Partnering with Partners and senior stakeholders, you’ll set delivery standards, enhance client outcomes, and advise high-net-worth individuals and international structures.

This role suits a leader who takes ownership end-to-end, setting clear expectations, coaching others to perform at their best, and bringing a calm, commercial lens to complex issues. You’ll be supported by a collaborative leadership group and the broader Ashfords business, with the autonomy to improve how we work and the platform to keep building your capability.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Ability to manage own practice by accurately recording WIP, billing to target and keeping debtors under control.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent people skills – ability to manage and support people to bring a sense of belonging and shared best outcomes

Job Responsibilities

Duties include (but not limited to): 

  • Maintains professional and meaningful relationships with clients and prospective clients
  • Monitors client management reports for underlying business improvement issues
  • Monitors and maintains high levels of practice compliance, per legislative requirements
  • Coach, develop and performance-manage team members, creating clarity, capability and a high-accountability culture.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders across the firm
