About the opportunity
Our client is a leading national leisure and recreation operator, managing a diverse portfolio of aquatic, fitness, wellness and community facilities across Australia and New Zealand. With over 10,000 employees across a multi-entity, multi-award payroll environment, this is a business where payroll genuinely matters — and this role sits at the centre of it.

They're currently transitioning from Preceda to Dayforce, elevating the payroll function from processing to genuine data and compliance capability. This is not a processing role.

About the role

  • Owning end-to-end superannuation compliance across a complex, multi-entity environment
  • Preparing statutory and regulatory reports — ATO, payroll tax, workers compensation, ABS
  • Managing month-end and year-end reconciliation cycles
  • Partnering with payroll operations to identify trends, flag risks and prevent downstream errors
  • Playing a key role in supporting the Preceda to Dayforce transition from a compliance and reporting perspective
What they're looking for
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll reconciliations, statutory reporting and on-cost management
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with complex payroll data
  • Ability to translate payroll complexity into plain English
Nice to have
  • Exposure to large, complex organisations (6,000+ employees)
  • Familiarity with Preceda and/or Dayforce — transition experience valued
  • NZ payroll experience
Why this role is worth considering
  • Be part of a genuine transformation
  • Free gym and swim access across 250+ venues, FlareHR retail discounts, salary packaging, paid maternity leave, novated car leasing, EAP access, and monthly team lunches
  • 3 days from home, 2 days onsite at Bayswater Head Office
  • Up to $110K + super + amazing benefits
