About the Role & Duties

ROC Consulting is partnering with a global manufacturing organisation to recruit a Senior EHS Specialist. This is a key, hands-on position focused on driving safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple sites located in the inner south-east of Melbourne.

You will play a pivotal role in strengthening safety culture, partnering closely with operations, and ensuring best-practice systems are embedded across both internal sites and customer environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and implementing EHS strategy across multiple operational sites
• Ensuring compliance with Australian WHS and environmental regulations
• Conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Developing and improving safety systems, policies, and procedures
• Partnering with operational teams to drive a proactive safety culture
• Delivering training and coaching across all levels of the business
• Supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives
• Travelling between company sites and customer locations as required

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in an EHS role within manufacturing environments
• Great communication skills and ability to influence and build rapport internally
• Strong understanding of Australian WHS and environmental legislation
• Experience managing audits, investigations, and compliance systems
• Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
• Hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Willingness to travel between sites and customer locations
