The Role
Commencing immediately, and initially commencing on a temporary basis, there is possible scope for this to become a permanent role. You will be responsible for the financial reporting and analysis for a number of high performing business units. This role supports the Head of Finance in delivering accurate month-end reporting, business performance reviews, and proactive financial insights. It also serves as a finance business partner to site and operational leaders, helping to drive commercial performance and accountability. The role also supports the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, helping to resolve queries and streamline end-to-end financial processes across the region. It requires someone with a strong accounting skill set, that is also prepared to work in a hands on capacity.
- Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee the monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting
- Assist in the month end and year end close process, including reconciliations, accruals, journals and prepayments
- Participate in monthly site performance reviews, both virtually and in person as needed.
- Assist sites in understanding cost drivers, productivity metrics, and financial levers to improve outcomes.
- Support annual budget preparation and monthly forecasting cycles
- Maintain and reconcile Balance Sheet and General Ledger Accounts.
- Review and approve AP and AR batches
- Assist in Annual Audit preparations
- Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets/forecasts
- Contribute to the development of new or amendments to accounting systems, programs or procedures
- Track and report on margin initiatives, and other region-specific programs.
- Assist the Finance Manager and broader Finance Team with reporting and special projects.
The Successful Candidate
Available to commence immediately, you will be CA / CPA qualified, and have a relevant commerce degree. You will have had previous experience working in a Financial Accounting role within a fast paced environment. You will be capable of building strong working relationships across the business with a broad range of stakeholders. Tech savvy, you will have strong Excel skills and previous exposure to Netsuite and SAP Concur would be advantageous.
