Senior Financial Accountant – Retail & Wholesale multinational (AU owned)

We design and distribute high-quality equestrian, outdoor lifestyle and pet products through wholesale, e-commerce and over 50 retail stores nationally under the Horseland network.

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant  (contract to permanent – immediate start) to join our global and growing retail and wholesale business.  This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, managing month-end processes, supporting compliance requirements, and partnering with operational teams to improve financial performance.

 Key Responsibilities

·       Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports accurately and promptly

·       Prepare intercompany recharges and transactions

·       Lead month-end and year-end close processes

·       Manage balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity

·       Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting

·       Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, and audit requirements

·       Partner with retail and wholesale operations to provide commercial insights

·       Assist with process improvements and financial controls

 About You

·       CA/CPA qualified

·       Proven experience in a senior financial accounting role

·       Background in retail, wholesale, FMCG, or multi-site/national environments preferred

·       Strong technical accounting and analytical skills

·       Advanced Excel and ERP system experience, preferably knowledge of MS Navision

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial environment
