From major recreational precincts, wetlands, to zoological exhibits, playgrounds, boardwalks, and large‑scale civil landscape works, our teams deliver projects that shape communities and enhance natural environments. We operate from our Scoresby facility with a dedicated workforce, modern fleet, and strong long‑term supplier relationships that support consistent, high‑quality project delivery.

In addition to the day-to-day accounts of Warrandale Industries P/L, is our asset owning entities engaged in Commercial Real Estate leasing and a property construction and development division.

As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking a capable and proactive Accounts / Payroll / Bookkeeper to support our internal finance function.

The Opportunity.

The role supports the financial operations of a busy construction and landscaping business. You will work closely with our Directors, Project Managers and Administration team to ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely payroll, and smooth financial workflows.

The position is 18 hours per week, ideally worked over three days (approx. 6 hours per day) to align with project and office rhythms, and school periods.  End of month periods or special projects may require additional time within the month.  This position is an in office role at our modern Scoresby office.

A competitive salary package will be finalised with the successful applicant, aligned to their experience, qualifications and the structure of the part‑time hours.

Key Responsibilities.

  • End‑to‑end bookkeeping using MYOB & Xero

  • Weekly payroll processing for staff, including Pay Day Super requirements.

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management

  • Bank, credit card and account reconciliations

  • Support with BAS preparation

  • Maintaining accurate financial records, registers and documentation

  • Assisting with month‑end reporting and internal financial queries

  • Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams

  • Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes and controls

About You.

You will be a reliable, detail‑focused finance professional who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment. You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities and supporting a team that delivers multiple construction projects simultaneously.

Essential Skills & Experience.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping and payroll. Accounting experience could be beneficial.

  • Strong knowledge of XERO & MYOB

  • Understanding of Australian payroll legislation and ATO requirements

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Desirable.

  • Experience in construction, civil, or project‑based industries

  • Familiarity with subcontractor onboarding, insurances and compliance

  • Ability to streamline processes and contribute to system improvements
