About the Role

Inventory Specialist role based in Scoresby, responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, optimising stock levels, and supporting efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure inventory processes across distribution centres, trade centres, and branches align with policies and operational standards.
  • Maintain high inventory accuracy by identifying discrepancies, resolving issues, and optimising stock levels to meet customer and production needs.
  • Monitor inventory performance, analyse data and trends (including aged inventory), and support initiatives to improve stock turnover and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely availability of materials and efficient supply chain operations.
  • Support reporting, insights, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management and operational efficiency.
  • Drive best practice inventory processes, including root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and WHSE requirements, contributing to a Zero Harm environment.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to maintain visibility of inventory performance and support decision‑making.
What You Bring To The Role
  • Relevant qualifications with experience in inventory management, ideally within Supply Chain/Logistics environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and Power BI, with experience delivering actionable reporting and insights within a Warehouse Management System (WMS) environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and deliver data‑driven insights.
  • Sound understanding of warehouse layout optimisation and stock efficiency practices (including aged inventory reduction).
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. 5S).
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong customer focus.
