As an HSE Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting safe, compliant and environmentally responsible operations at our Laverton North manufacturing site in Victoria. Working closely with site leadership and operational teams, you will provide hands‑on technical expertise, coaching and guidance to embed strong HSE practices, support Major Hazard Facility obligations and continuously strengthen our safety culture.

How You’ll Help Us Grow

• Own and continuously improve the site Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems

• Ensure compliance with Australian WHS legislation, Major Hazard Facility requirements, Codes of Practice and Nufarm standards

• Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification across site operations

• Deliver HSE training, inductions and toolbox talks to employees and contractors

• Monitor, analyse and report HSE performance and KPIs

• Engage with external stakeholders including WorkSafe, regulators, auditors and emergency services

• Partner with operations to embed behavioural safety and human factors principles

• Support Major Hazard Facility compliance, Safety Case requirements and emergency preparedness activities

Could This Be You?
You are a proactive HSE professional with 2+ years’ experience in a complex manufacturing, chemical manufacturing or similar heavy‑industry environment. Major Hazard Facility experience is desirable. You bring strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, Health & Safety Management Systems and risk management practices, along with the ability to influence, coach and engage stakeholders at all levels.

A university qualification in Safety, Engineering or a related discipline is required.
