We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the General Manager – Finance, this role is responsible for ensuring accurate recording of payments, managing outstanding receivables, and delivering high-quality support to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Process accounts receivable transactions including receipting, invoicing, and cash allocation
- Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure payments are accurately recorded
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, unallocated payments, and customer queries
- Follow up on outstanding invoices through email and telephone collections
- Maintain accurate financial records across systems including Microsoft Dynamics
- Support month-end processes, reporting, and reconciliations
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers
- Monitor debtor accounts and report on overdue balances and payment arrangements
- Assist with audit requirements and other finance-related tasks as needed
About You
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role with end-to-end ownership
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
- Experience working with accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics highly regarded)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- A customer-focused mindset and commitment to service excellence
Desirable:
- Experience in the NDIS or disability sector
- Exposure to complex billing arrangements and funding structures
