We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the General Manager – Finance, this role is responsible for ensuring accurate recording of payments, managing outstanding receivables, and delivering high-quality support to both internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Process accounts receivable transactions including receipting, invoicing, and cash allocation
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure payments are accurately recorded
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, unallocated payments, and customer queries
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices through email and telephone collections
  • Maintain accurate financial records across systems including Microsoft Dynamics
  • Support month-end processes, reporting, and reconciliations
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers
  • Monitor debtor accounts and report on overdue balances and payment arrangements
  • Assist with audit requirements and other finance-related tasks as needed

About You

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role with end-to-end ownership
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
  • Experience working with accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics highly regarded)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills
  • A customer-focused mindset and commitment to service excellence

Desirable:

  • Experience in the NDIS or disability sector
  • Exposure to complex billing arrangements and funding structures
