An established and growing Australian manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide critical support during a busy End of Financial Year period.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance obligations, and supporting the wider finance team through year end activities. This is a hands on role suited to a commercially minded accountant who can quickly integrate into a fast paced environment and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month end and year end close processes
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with statutory reporting requirements and compliance obligations
• Coordinate audit preparation and manage auditor requests
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Review general ledger transactions and journal entries
• Analyse financial performance and investigate variances
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assist with cash flow reporting and management
• Ensure accuracy of fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
• Review payroll, superannuation, and taxation reconciliations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and controls
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide commercial financial insights

About You

• CA or CPA qualified
• Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant or Management Accountant role
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Previous experience supporting external audits and EOFY processes
• Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP system experience
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
• Manufacturing, FMCG or food production experience will be highly regarded
