Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely payroll services.
 
About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies. You will work closely with employees, managers, and external stakeholders to provide exceptional payroll support.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly payroll for approx 2200 employees
  • Calculate wages, salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, and leave entitlements
  • Manage payroll-related queries from employees and managers
  • Process superannuation, payroll tax, and other statutory payments
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end reporting
 
About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience processing high volume, end-to-end payroll
  • Proficiency with MicrOpay and Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
