We design, manufacture and install signage and branding for some of the country's biggest retailers and most iconic brands — we signed the first Coles store over a century ago and still brand them today, alongside the likes of Kmart and Officeworks. From the largest pylon signs in the country to national store rollouts and fast-turnaround events like the Australian Open and the Formula 1 Grand Prix, our completely in-house design, manufacture and installation capability is what sets us apart.

Thanks to continued growth, there is an exciting new Business Development & Account Manager role based in our Melbourne office, responsible for winning and growing large corporate accounts right across Australia.

This is your chance to win and grow a portfolio of major corporate accounts — Tier 1 ($2.5M+), Tier 2 ($750K+) and Tier 3 ($250K+) per year. You'll engage directly with senior decision makers inside some of Australia's largest enterprises and build the kind of long-term, high-value partnerships that last for decades.

A demonstrated track record of winning large new enterprise accounts and growing existing ones is essential. If you can open doors at the top of town, methodically work a complex multi-stakeholder sale, and close — we want to hear from you.

You won't be doing this alone. You'll be backed by an experienced Operations Manager, a highly capable Estimating and Design team, skilled Project Managers, and a supportive senior management team — all working alongside you to win the work and deliver it brilliantly.

This is what your work week will look like to deliver your objectives:

- Winning new large corporate accounts across Tier 1, 2 and 3, and achieving your quarterly and annual sales, gross profit and KPI targets
- Developing your annual sales strategy and building a pipeline of the right clients to hit those targets
- Mapping target enterprises — identifying key decision makers, understanding what drives their buying decisions, and building the relationships and internal alliances needed to win
- Creating and executing live, tactical account acquisition plans, stress-tested regularly with your Operations Manager
- Hosting clients and prospects to build rapport and progress the sale
- Defending and strengthening our major contracts with existing key clients, and generating new business from them
- Working closely with our Project Managers and Estimators to scope, quote and deliver projects — and supporting contentious negotiations to reach firm, fair, win-win outcomes
- Maintaining an accurate pipeline in our CRM and ERP, and keeping your manager up to date on your progress

What we require of you:
- Minimum 5 years' sales experience, including at least 3 years consistently winning large enterprise accounts
- An established network of corporate decision makers, or a proven ability to build one quickly
- Experience with structured sales methodologies such as Miller-Heiman (Target Account Selling) and SPIN
- Experience working alongside project managers and/or engineers
- Strong Microsoft Office, CRM and ERP skills
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a driven, proactive, self-managing approach
- A willingness to learn how signs are estimated, manufactured and installed within your first three months
- Estimating experience and an understanding of construction drawings/plans are an advantage
- Signage industry, or construction/FMCG/retail, experience is an added advantage
