About the role

AccSense Pty Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts & Payroll Support professional to join our team on a part-time basis in Thornbury VIC 3071. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our accounting and payroll functions, providing essential support to ensure accurate financial records and timely employee payments. You will work alongside our accounting team to maintain the financial health of the organisation and support the efficient delivery of payroll services to our staff.

What you'll be doing

  1. Processing invoices, payments, creditor reconciliations and managing the external accounts inboxes for several clients.

  2. End-to-end payroll for multiple clients including award interpretation, STP, super and PAYG

  3. Daily bank reconciliations.

  4. Delivering high-quality client service and maintaining well-organised workpapers

  5. Working in Xero, MYOB and Dealership Management Systems

  6. Contributing to process improvement and internal documentation

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience working as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk or in a similar accounting support role

  • Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles, invoice processing and payroll administration

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection in a financial context

  • Preferably, experience with payroll processing software or payroll administration

Motor industry experience (dealerships, workshops, smash repairers) is desirable.
