As our Assistant Accountant – Accounts Receivable, you'll play a key role in supporting the financial health of the business through effective debtor management, accurate reconciliations, and timely financial processing. Working closely with the Management Accountant and broader Finance team, you'll help maintain strong financial controls while delivering excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
This role requires a full-time, on-site presence, five days a week, to foster collaboration, strengthen team connections, and ensure seamless support across the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Process and allocate daily debtor receipts and maintain accurate debtor records.
· Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies where required.
· Manage debtor accounts, including account setup, statement distribution, collections, and query resolution.
· Process journals, invoices, credit notes, and other accounting transactions.
· Assist with month-end activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
· Record and reconcile vehicle sales transactions such as employee sales, other retail sales and Dealer releases.
· Support the preparation of accurate financial reporting through timely reconciliations and data integrity.
· Review and contribute to the continuous improvement of Accounts Receivable processes, systems and procedures.
· Provide ad hoc reporting and financial support to the Finance leadership team as required.

To be successful, you will have:
· A completed Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
· At least 2 years' experience.
· Experience in accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial transaction processing.
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
· Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
· A customer-focused approach with the ability to build positive working relationships.
· Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
· Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
· A positive attitude, growth mindset, and willingness to continuously improve processes.
