Bookkeeper / Admininstration Role

Weststar Prestige Paint and Panel are an award winning family owned Autobody repairer who have over 50 years experience in the industry. We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our administrative team.

As we are a family business the role will be multi faceted and also include daily administrative tasks as the office team work closely together in their tasks.

This roll is full time and we are looking for someone who is after a long term stable position. Experience in the automotive industry would be a welcomed advantage however onsite training will be provided to the successful candidate.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Bookkeeping & Accounting tasks

  • Payroll and Superannuation Processing – onboarding and termination of employees, PAYG

  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements

  • Month end and year end financial reporting

  • End of Financial Year preparation

  • Preparation of Monthly BAS lodgement

  • Assisting with annual financial reports and tax obligations (GST, Payroll Tax, Land Tax, WorkCover)

  • Accounts Receivable & Payable

  • General reception duties – communication with customers, answering phones

  • Handling insurance claims and repair booking process

  • Daily Administrative tasks

  • Organise and Manage Staff Training

  • Manage OHS Yearly Compliance       

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years previous bookkeeping or accounting experience (auto body or automotive experience is a plus)

  • Proficiency with accounting software and processes (Moneyworks accounting software is used within our business)

  • Strong attention to detail and organization

  • Ability to work within a team environment

  • Trustworthy, dependable, and professional

  • Experience in financial day to day behaviour of a small-medium business

  • Administrative and customer service experience

  • Experience in Excel, Outlook and other MS applications

  • Experience using iBodyShop for repair order management, estimating, and insurance claims would be an added advantage

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, and tax regulations.

  • Experience with industry-specific financial workflows

  • Familiarity with autobody repair industry-specific software, including iBodyShop and MoneyWorks would be a welcomed advantage

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
