The Goonawarra Neighbourhood House (GNH) is a not-for-profit organisation which offers a range of programs informed by the needs of our community. Goonawarra Neighbourhood House offers over 20 programs, including playgroups, pro-social activities, recreational courses, learning and development courses and space for community groups.
Goonawarra is on the cusp of a massive housing development program, with Sunbury South now under construction. Over the next ten years, hundreds of new families will move into the area and fall within the house's catchment.
This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of financial and HR responsibilities of GNH as detailed in the job description.
It is location based. The weekly hours will be split as two x 4 hour days.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications or experience in bookkeeping and administration. We are seeking candidates who have a passion for the not-for-profit sector, are highly organised, pay attention to detail, and have a good understanding of finance in the context of the community sector. While supporting the House Manager, you will often have opportunities to liaise with House users, build relationships and contribute ideas. The successful candidate will be supported by an external bookkeeper.
