About the role

J & R Electrical Group is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team on a full-time basis at our Bayswater North, VIC location. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of our office, ensuring that all administrative functions run smoothly and effectively. The Office Manager plays a crucial strategic role within our organisation, providing essential support to management and staff whilst maintaining professional standards that reflect our commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Key responsibilities

  1. Managing all administrative functions including correspondence, filing systems, scheduling and record-keeping

  2. Coordinating office facilities management, including maintenance schedules, equipment servicing and vendor relationships

  3. Processing accounts payable and receivable, managing invoices, expenses and financial documentation

  4. Providing comprehensive support to management and senior staff, including meeting coordination and diary management

  5. Implementing and maintaining office policies, procedures and compliance with workplace regulations

  6. Managing telephone systems and monitoring emails

  7. Preparing reports and maintaining key performance metrics for office operations

  8. Fostering a positive and professional office environment that promotes productivity and team morale

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as an Office Manager, Administration Manager, or similar role.

  • Experience within the electrical, construction, trades, or service industry preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with job management software such as SimPRO, ServiceM8, AroFlo, or similar is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong organisation and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

  • Bookkeeping or accounts experience would be advantageous.
