About the role
Ferntree Gully Automotive is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position based in Ferntree Gully VIC 3156, where you will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing a talented sales team, and achieving ambitious revenue targets. As Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and delivering exceptional customer experiences that build long-term loyalty and business growth.
Key responsibilities
Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Train and mentor sales staff, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and customer retention
Implement effective sales strategies and tactics that drive revenue growth and market share expansion
Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze trends and provide regular reporting to senior management
Create a positive and collaborative sales environment that promotes teamwork, accountability and excellence
What we're looking for
Proven track record of success in a sales management role within the automotive or related retail sector, with at least 3–5 years' experience
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams
Demonstrated expertise in sales strategy development and implementation with measurable results
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and staff at all levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in sales forecasting and performance metrics
Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
Knowledge of automotive products, services and industry best practices is highly desirable
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales management software
Valid driver's license
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced, competitive environment
