Finance Manager - Aussie Bin Hire

Location: VIC

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 plus superannuation

Aussie Bin Hire is a growing waste management and skip bin hire company providing reliable services across Australia. We are committed to efficient operations, sustainability, and delivering excellent customer service. As we expand, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations and support strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and coordinate the financial and accounting activities of the organization in line with business objectives and growth plans.

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and long-term financial projections to support operational expansion

  • Oversee financial reporting, including monthly/quarterly management accounts, annual financial statements, and statutory compliance.

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, GST, BAS, general ledger functions and statutory reporting obligations, ensuring accuracy and timelines.

  • Oversee the design, implementation and ongoing management of accounting and financial reporting systems to support accurate and timely information.

  • Ensure compliance with Australian financial legislation, AASB standards, and taxation requirements

  • Manage working capital, cash flow optimization, and funding requirements to support ongoing operations, capital investment, and business expansion

  • Conduct and provide financial analysis and advice to support business decisions, risk management, and cost control

  • Liaise with external auditors, bankers, and stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in a small-to-medium enterprise or similar industry.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
