About the Company Joy Nuts (JUST GROWN PTY LTD) is a Victorian-based retail business operating from Clyde North, specialising in the sale of premium quality dried fruits, health foods, nuts, snack foods, spices, legumes, grains and packaging products. The business supplies a wide range of locally sourced and imported dry goods catering to the growing demand within the local community for high-quality, fresh and competitively priced products. About the role

We are looking for a Retail Manager who will be responsible for planning, organising, directing and controlling the overall operations of Joy Nuts (JUST GROWN PTY LTD). This role will ensure efficient store management, staff supervision, stock control, supplier coordination, sales performance, and compliance with food safety and workplace regulations. The Retail Manager will play a key role in driving profitability, maintaining customer satisfaction, and supporting business growth.

Job Description Position: Retail Manager Location of Work: 1/10 Silvretta Court, Clyde North Victoria - 3978 Employment Type: Permanent, Full time Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 Duties and Responsibilities Store Operations Management

  • Plan, organise, direct and control daily retail operations.
  • Monitor store performance and implement strategies to meet sales targets.
  • Ensure store presentation, merchandising and product display standards are maintained.
  • Oversee store opening/closing procedures and security controls.

Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate retail staff.
  • Prepare staff rosters and manage workforce planning.
  • Provide training on product knowledge and customer service standards.
  • Monitor employee performance and implement improvements where required.

Stock Control & Purchasing

  • Determine stock levels and order merchandise.
  • Maintain inventory systems and conduct regular stock takes.
  • Liaise with suppliers and negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of dry fruits and packaged goods.

Sales & Customer Service

  • Develop and implement promotional strategies and pricing policies.
  • Analyse sales reports to identify trends and improve performance.
  • Ensure customer complaints are handled professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain high service standards to build customer loyalty.

Financial & Compliance Management

  • Manage store budgets, expenses and profitability.
  • Prepare and review financial reports including daily sales summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, WHS and retail regulations.
  • Oversee cash handling, banking and reconciliation procedures.

Skills, experience and education required

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year full-time relevant experience as a Retail Supervisor or Retail Manager.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills.
  • Inventory and purchasing management experience.
  • Financial and sales reporting capability.
  • Customer service excellence.
  • Knowledge of food safety and WHS compliance.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
