We are expanding our Victorian operations and are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our team, drive growth, and uphold the high standards our customers rely on.

As the Branch Manager, you will oversee all aspects of branch performance—sales, operations, customer service, team leadership, safety, and profitability. You will play a key role in strengthening existing customer relationships, winning new business opportunities, and ensuring the branch operates efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards.

This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced wholesale environment and enjoys a balance of operational oversight, team coaching, and customer engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team across sales, warehouse, and customer service.

  • Recruit, train, onboard, and coach staff to support high performance and a positive culture.

  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and alignment with company values.

Sales & Customer Growth

  • Drive sales performance and achieve branch revenue and gross profit targets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and trade customers.

  • Identify sales gaps, analyse customer/product trends, and implement strategies to recover and grow business.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure prompt resolution of customer issues.

Operations & Inventory Management

  • Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

  • Manage stock levels, ordering, rotation, reconciliation, and dead/slow‑moving inventory.

  • Work closely with warehouse staff to maintain strong controls and minimise waste.

  • Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, including equipment maintenance and safe work practices.

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage the branch P&L, budget, and operational costs.

  • Identify areas to improve profitability while maintaining service and operational standards.

  • Maintain accurate records including sales reporting, staff records, and operational metrics.

  • Support overdue account follow‑up and work with head office departments as required.

Cross‑Branch & Supplier Engagement

  • Collaborate with other branches for stock sharing and resource efficiency.

  • Represent the branch in meetings, audits, supplier engagements, and operational reviews.

  • Stay current with market activity, competitor trends, and industry developments.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Knowledge

  • 3–5 years in a leadership, supervisory, or operations role (wholesale, trade, or distribution preferred).

  • Experience in sales and account management with proven revenue/growth achievements.

  • Strong operational understanding of warehouse processes, dispatch, and inventory control.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a P&L and drive profitability.

  • Industry experience in security, AV, electrical, or data is highly desirable.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.

  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and decision‑making skills.

  • Highly organised, adaptable, and confident managing competing priorities.

  • Customer‑centric mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., MYOB Advanced), inventory tools, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Business/management qualifications (desirable but not essential).

  • Current driver’s licence and forklift licence (preferred).

Why Join Bitek?

  • A growing national business with strong customer relationships.

  • Opportunity to run and grow a key Victorian branch with autonomy and leadership support.

  • A supportive management team and a culture focused on teamwork, safety, and service.

  • Competitive salary package with opportunities for growth and advancement.
