Work with state-of-the-art machinery that defines industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing sales data to forecast future demand and ensure purchasing decisions support the company's budget requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to source diverse product ranges and establish collaborative partnerships.
  • Developing and implementing targeted sales and marketing strategies in collaboration with merchandising and sales teams.
  • Conducting thorough quality inspections of incoming merchandise, including verification of packaging integrity and expiration dates, to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of all purchasing activities, supplier agreements, and vendor relationships.
  • Monitoring market trends and consumer purchasing behavior to identify opportunities for new product introductions and category expansion.
  • Generating purchase orders, selecting reliable vendors, and managing the complete procurement cycle from order placement through to delivery.
  • Evaluating vendor performance and negotiating supply agreements to achieve optimal pricing and quality outcomes.
  • Implementing stock management strategies to maintain appropriate inventory levels and fulfill customer demand.
  • Utilizing sales performance data to optimize product promotions and pricing strategies, enhancing profit margins.
  • Providing regular reports to management on sales trends and stock levels, identifying challenges and recommending strategic actions.
  • Ensuring all buying and merchandising strategies align with the company's overall business objectives and commercial plans.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical abilities to evaluate sales data and make strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Skilled in negotiation and communication, adept at building and maintaining effective supplier relationships.
  • Collaborative mindset, partnering seamlessly with cross-functional teams such as merchandisers, marketers, and sales personnel.
  • Cert IV, diploma or higher qualification.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-focused approach, prioritizing quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • At least 3 year of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the retail sector, preferably in food and beverage, is desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in retail buying or procurement, with a solid understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills, promoting teamwork and effective problem-solving.
  • Adaptable work schedule, capable of operating across various time zones, with no travel limitations.
  • Competence in managing teams effectively.
