We are looking for an ambitious, passionate/performance-driven account manager to manage new and existing customers.
As the Account Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and acquiring new and existing business opportunities across a wide range of industry sectors including retail trade, events, toys, and specialty as well as managing and supporting long-term relationships with existing customers.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven and passionate about promoting industry-leading brands and products. You will need to actively drive existing customers identify new business opportunities and develop them into long-term viable customers. This will include being a product advocate, and problem solver and building relationships with a wide range of customers.
Some of the key position responsibilities and duties include:Managing and coordinating sales activities to grow the business.Reporting on financial targets and sales metricsWorking alongside our marketing team, and our partnership/ distributions manager.Facilitating the resolution of customer queries in a timely and professional manner, including assisting clients with product selection and guidanceDevelop, nurture, and close potential new customer leads.Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to customers.Develop a trusted advisory relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and industry associations.Educate and upsell existing customers about our various products and brands.Work closely with the General Manager of Sales to improve lead generation, sales processes, and customer retention strategies, providing regular reporting and sharing feedback and best practices.Meet and exceed sales targetsAttend industry events and represent the company and our partnerships.Forecasting, product planning, and delivery on sales to meet forecasts.Work closely with the operations team to maximize forecasts and shipment planning.
QualificationsStrong relationship management, client communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience in account management, sales, or business development with a proven track record of achieving targetsPreferable experience in the Australian Toy, FMCG or Retail industry with a successful track record of providing sustainable procedural solutions to customers either internal or external.Organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skillsWilling to listen to feedback, adapt, and try new approaches if needed.Ability to collaborate with internal teams and manage multiple accounts simultaneouslyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, and basic data analysisKnowledge of the wholesale or merchandising industry is a plusBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
