About the Role

We’re looking for a Compliance Officer to support the delivery of effective compliance across our Energy Management & B2B (EM&B2B) activities in ANZ.

In this role, you’ll help build and maintain a practical and fit-for-purpose compliance framework, while contributing to a positive culture of integrity and accountability. Working alongside Legal, Regulatory and Commercial teams, you’ll play an important role in ensuring regulatory obligations are understood, managed and embedded into day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a key contact for compliance, regulatory and ethical matters across EM&B2B ANZ
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing improvement of compliance frameworks and processes
  • Monitoring and helping manage regulatory obligations across energy and financial markets
  • Contributing to compliance risk reviews and supporting actions to address identified risks
  • Partnering with stakeholders to provide guidance on new products, trading activities and commercial initiatives
  • Assisting with compliance training, reporting and engagement with regulators and industry groups

About You

You are someone who enjoys working collaboratively and brings a thoughtful, practical approach to compliance. You’re comfortable navigating complex environments and building strong relationships across teams.

  • Experience in compliance, regulatory, legal, risk or a related area
  • An interest in or knowledge of energy markets, trading or financial services
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. AFSL, AML/CTF, AER, AEMO) is helpful
  • Ability to interpret information and apply it in a practical, business-focused way
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • Comfortable working with a range of stakeholders across different functions
  • A relevant qualification in Law, Commerce, Risk, Compliance or similar (or equivalent experience)
