In this role, you will oversee core financial operations, support strategic growth initiatives, and ensure strong financial governance across a rapidly expanding network. You will work closely with senior leadership to manage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance, contributing directly to the financial strength and long‑term success of a dynamic, innovative organisation shaping the future of community pharmacy.

Position description:

Financial reporting and analysis

  • Where necessary, prepare monthly management reports, monitor business performance, analyse results and variances, and prepare cash flows

Support to Chief Financial Officer

  • Where required, provide support to the CFO on policies, procedures and strategies, based on the analysis of monthly management reports

Operational support

  • Where necessary, attend to the day-to-day duties required for business performance, including maintaining general ledgers, managing accounts payable/receivable and reconciling accounts

Continuous improvement and innovation

  • Identify and contribute to opportunities for improvement to financial systems and workflows

Administration

  • Maintain up-to-date records within the company’s accounting software to ensure data is current for use in reporting to senior management

Cash flow monitoring

  • Oversee cash management to ensure timely and accurate debtor collection and payments to creditors

Stakeholder management and partnerships

  • Liaise with external service providers (bookkeeper, accountants etc) on matters related to the company’s operation and performance

Proactive reviews

  • Continual review of the company’s core operations to identify any areas of concern or possible growth and opportunity within the company

Project management

  • Where necessary, contribute to the implementation of strategic projects
