Position description:
Financial reporting and analysis
Where necessary, prepare monthly management reports, monitor business performance, analyse results and variances, and prepare cash flows
Support to Chief Financial Officer
Where required, provide support to the CFO on policies, procedures and strategies, based on the analysis of monthly management reports
Operational support
Where necessary, attend to the day-to-day duties required for business performance, including maintaining general ledgers, managing accounts payable/receivable and reconciling accounts
Continuous improvement and innovation
Identify and contribute to opportunities for improvement to financial systems and workflows
Administration
Maintain up-to-date records within the company’s accounting software to ensure data is current for use in reporting to senior management
Cash flow monitoring
Oversee cash management to ensure timely and accurate debtor collection and payments to creditors
Stakeholder management and partnerships
Liaise with external service providers (bookkeeper, accountants etc) on matters related to the company’s operation and performance
Proactive reviews
Continual review of the company’s core operations to identify any areas of concern or possible growth and opportunity within the company
Project management
Where necessary, contribute to the implementation of strategic projects
