About the Position
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this Finance Business Partner role sits within a high‑performing finance team and supports a portfolio of operational and venue stakeholders across Melbourne Park.
This is a commercially focused role combining core management accounting with true business partnering, playing a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and performance reporting. The position delivers meaningful insights across a complex, event‑driven environment, helping stakeholders understand financial outcomes and drive improved performance.
A key element of the role is partnering with senior stakeholders across venues and operations, including supporting major events such as the Australian Open. The role also contributes to capital and procurement projects, providing financial oversight and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to operate in a unique, fast‑paced environment with high visibility and tangible impact.
  
Duties

  • Own monthly performance reporting, including variance analysis and insightful commentary
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and multi‑year planning processes across assigned portfolio
  • Develop and refine financial models to support revenue and cost forecasting
  • Partner closely with operational stakeholders to enhance financial understanding and decision‑making
  • Provide financial support across major events, including preparation, delivery and post‑event analysis
  • Support capital, procurement and strategic projects with financial modelling and evaluation
  • Deliver data‑driven insights to support strategic and operational decisions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting
  • Support risk identification and management across the business

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive, commercially astute finance professional with strong analytical capability and a genuine passion for business partnering. You will thrive in a fast‑paced, stakeholder‑focused environment and enjoy translating financial data into clear, actionable insight.
You will have:
  • CA or CPA qualification, ideally with a background in professional practice
  • Proven experience in management accounting or a Finance Business Partner role
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
  • Advanced Excel skills and exposure to reporting systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong ownership and accountability
  • Experience in events, venues, property or service‑based environments is beneficial but not essential
