An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and proactive Safety, Risk and Compliance Officer to join our Business and Operations Team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the College's commitment to providing a safe, compliant and well-managed environment for students, staff and visitors through the effective coordination of workplace safety, risk management and compliance systems.

This is a full time ongoing position to commence as soon as possible.

As the Safety, Risk and Compliance Officer, you will:

  • Coordinate and support the College's workplace health and safety framework.
  • Maintain the College Risk Register and support risk management processes across all areas of the College.
  • Monitor compliance obligations and assist with policy, audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate incident, hazard and injury reporting and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are implemented.
  • Support emergency management planning, workplace inspections and safety initiatives.
  • Provide reporting, data analysis and recommendations to support continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A genuine commitment to workplace safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in workplace health and safety, risk management, compliance or a related field.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships across a diverse school community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation.
