About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to take ownership of our Retail Safari Field Sales Program! This role is responsible for the overall performance of the program, including client relationship management, operational delivery, team leadership, and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets.

You will play a critical role in ensuring program excellence, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining strong client satisfaction while leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Management

  • Own and manage the end-to-end client relationship
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all program-related matters
  • Conduct weekly WIPs, monthly performance meetings, and quarterly business reviews
  • Respond to client queries within agreed timeframes
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and service delivery

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Deliver against revenue, sales, and KPI targets
  • Manage budgets, invoicing, forecasting, and reconciliations
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce operational costs
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily program performance and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, systems, and client requirements
  • Analyse performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting across all program activity

People Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and support the program team (including analysts and support staff)
  • Drive team performance, engagement, and capability development
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture aligned to Retail Safari values

Innovation & Improvement

  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and sales outcomes
  • Contribute to broader Field Sales and Retail Safari business improvements
  • Champion collaboration across internal teams and client stakeholders

About You

You are a highly capable account and project management professional with strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, client-facing environment!

You will bring:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience managing client programs or accounts
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams
  • Excellent financial and commercial understanding (budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation)
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability
  • Advanced communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desirable

  • Experience within retail field sales, merchandising, or marketing services
  • Exposure to client-side retail or FMCG environments
