The Club

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Finance Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working across a broad range of finance functions and contributing to the success of a community-focused organisation.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key role in managing the Club's financial operations and ensuring strong financial governance.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the month-end process, including balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and fixed asset accounting.
Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts, BAS returns, annual budgets and other compliance requirements.
Overseeing weekly payroll processes using Deputy and Xero, including reconciliations and statutory obligations
Providing financial insights and guidance to Board Members and management.
Maintaining effective financial controls and best-practice processes.
Coordinating annual audits, statutory reporting and ad hoc finance projects.
Supporting operational and strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
A tertiary qualification in Accounting.
CA or CPA qualification (completed or currently in progress).
At least five years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, payroll, compliance and reporting requirements.
Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero and other accounting systems.
Experience with MiMembership and Bepoz (desirable but not essential).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
The ability to work independently, take ownership and consistently meet deadlines.
