The Opportunity
As a Residential Settlements Officer in our Customer Services division you will be responsible to manage a portfolio of residential loans from letter of offer stage through to settlement. You will liaise with solicitors, brokers, and borrowers to achieve settlement within the required time frames.
You will work both autonomously and collaboratively within your team, as well as with a range of other teams within and outside of the division including business development managers, brokers and borrowers with settlement enquiries.
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the residential settlements process, be able to work to tight deadlines and at times under pressure, be able to execute a strong attention to detail and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of files for settlement in accordance with La Trobe Financial’s policy and procedure
Adhere to all legislative requirements
Ensure documentation received satisfies requirements of outstanding conditions prior to settlement
Effectively communicate with brokers, borrowers and solicitors to ensure they are aware of the progress of their file until settlement
Competent with the following programs: Loan Closer, Equifax, Valuation Exchange (Valex), Global X
Ensure a high level of customer service and professionalism is maintained with all brokers, borrowers and BDM’s
Represent La Trobe Financial in a professional manner and demonstrate La Trobe Financial’s corporate values at all times
About You
You are highly motivated and enthusiastic with a team-based mindset
You will have prior knowledge and experience in understanding the residential settlements process
Understand the end to end loan process and documentation requirements
Can manage daily workload autonomously and work to deadlines
Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
Shows initiative, has strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
Willing to help colleagues achieve team KPIs
Strong decision making and relationship building skills
