About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented WHS & Compliance Officer to oversee workplace health, safety, and compliance across our warehouse facilities in Melbourne's west.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating a safe working environment, maintaining compliance standards, and working closely with warehouse teams to drive continuous improvement.

Mandarin language skills are highly preferred, as the role involves communicating with a multilingual workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain WHS systems and procedures across 5 warehouse sites.

• Conduct regular warehouse safety inspections and risk assessments.

• Ensure compliance with Australian WHS legislation and company policies.

• Investigate workplace incidents, hazards, and near misses, and implement corrective actions.

• Coordinate safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks.

• Maintain WHS records, registers, and compliance documentation.

• Liaise with warehouse managers to improve safety performance and operational compliance.

• Monitor and support return-to-work and injury management processes where required.

• Assist with audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a WHS, Compliance, or Safety Officer role, preferably within warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing.

• Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and best practices.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.

• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel between warehouse locations.

• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is highly preferred.

• Relevant WHS qualifications (Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
