We are seeking a commercially astute Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team in Clayton. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this role plays a critical part in driving business performance through insightful financial analysis and strategic decision support.

You will partner closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Procurement and IT to influence decision-making, optimise performance and deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver insightful financial analysis linking performance outcomes to business strategies.

  • Lead monthly management reporting across sales, operations, procurement and innovation functions.

  • Provide trusted advice on planning assumptions, pricing, promotions, trade-offs and investment decisions.

  • Manage trade spend, rebates and accrual processes for customers and suppliers.

  • Develop financial models, dashboards and reporting tools to support decision-making.

  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic planning cycles.

  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across finance and the broader business.

  • Support statutory reporting and contribute to ad hoc projects as required.

About You

You’re a commercially driven finance professional with strong analytical capability, strategic thinking and the confidence to influence decision-making. You’ve built solid experience in a similar role within FMCG, retail or manufacturing, and understand the key drivers of performance including trade spend, promotions, pricing and margin.

CA, CPA or CIMA qualified, you’re comfortable working across management reporting, forecasting and planning cycles, and can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for the business. You partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

 You’ll also bring:

  • Proven experience in management reporting, forecasting and planning

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify risks and opportunities

  • Confidence to challenge constructively and influence better business outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
