Banking & Financial Services

Notting Hill, 3168, Melbourne, Victoria

Full time

We're looking for a Business Analyst to help drive the evolution of our business systems and processes. Experience across ERP projects would be ideal, but what matters most is someone with sharp business logic and strong critical thinking, who can take a messy operational problem, work out how things really fit together, and shape it into a clear, workable solution.

You won't just be handed requirements to write up. You'll work closely with stakeholders, unpack problems, challenge assumptions, map how the business actually runs, and reason your way to designs that hold up in the real world.

The role

  • Unpacking business problems and translating real operational needs into clear, well structured requirements

  • Analysing current (“as-is”) processes and designing future (“to-be”) processes that genuinely improve how things work

  • Running requirement gathering sessions and workshops with stakeholders across the business

  • Producing clear documentation: business requirements, functional specs and user guides

  • Designing and running test plans, including functional, system integration and UAT

  • Coordinating training and supporting smooth adoption of new systems and processes

  • Working alongside project managers, developers and stakeholders to land projects end to end

  • Creating end user documentation and SOPs

What we're looking for

  • Exceptional business logic, you understand how processes, data and decisions connect, and can model that logic so others can follow it

  • Strong critical thinking, you question assumptions, test ideas against evidence and weigh trade-offs rather than taking the first answer

  • A structured problem solver who can break ambiguous problems into clear, workable parts and drive them to a defensible conclusion

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on technology transformation projects

  • A clear communicator who can work with both technical and non technical stakeholders

  • Strong documentation skills and genuine attention to detail

  • Comfortable with testing methodologies and seeing solutions through to adoption

Nice to have

  • Experience with Odoo, Dynamics Business Central or other ERP solutions

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams

  • Experience with Lucid Chart (or a similar flowchart tool)

  • Experience with Atlassian Jira or Confluence, Asana or Monday.com (or similar)

  • Experience with SQL databases and Power BI would be looked on favourably

The important bit

  • This role is based fulltime out of our Notting Hill office and sits at the centre of our technology transformation work

  • You'll be expected to think commercially, not just analytically, and to get to the root of why things work the way they do

  • You'll have real influence over how our systems and processes evolve

If you're the kind of analyst who enjoys untangling messy problems, questioning how things are done, and shaping solutions that genuinely improve how a business operates, we'd like to talk.
