Role Summary

This role is for a fine jewellery company and is responsible for managing our brand’s social media presence, creating elegant content, and converting online enquiries into sales. The position is small to medium in scope, ideal for someone hands‑on who can manage both content and customer conversations end‑to‑end.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Content & Strategy

  • Plan, create, and publish engaging content (posts, stories, reels, shorts, blogs/captions) for all active social media platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar that aligns with campaigns, launches, festivals, and promotions.
  • Shoot and edit high‑quality photos and videos of products, behind‑the‑scenes, customer testimonials, and brand stories.
  • Write clear, persuasive, and brand‑appropriate captions and copy that drive engagement and sales.
  • Stay up to date with platform algorithms, features, and trends (reels, sounds, formats, hashtags) and apply them to improve reach and performance.
  • Coordinate with management/owners for approval of key campaigns, offers, and messaging.

Account Management & Growth

  • Create, set up, and optimize social media accounts on all relevant platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp Business, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.) as per brand strategy.
  • Own day‑to‑day management of all social media pages, ensuring consistent branding, updated bios, highlights, links, and contact details.
  • Monitor page performance using platform analytics (reach, engagement, followers, click‑through, saves, etc.) and share basic performance reports with suggestions.
  • Run and coordinate basic paid promotions/boosted posts (if applicable) under guidance, ensuring correct audience targeting and budgets.

Customer Engagement & Online Sales

  • Respond promptly and politely to all DMs, comments, and inquiries across platforms.
  • Provide detailed and accurate product information (materials, sizes, prices, policies) and share product images/videos or links to assist customers.
  • Build rapport with customers by maintaining a friendly, professional, and solution‑oriented tone.
  • Identify genuine purchase intent and actively guide customers through the sales process (recommend products, suggest alternatives, upsell/cross‑sell where appropriate).
  • Coordinate with internal teams for inventory availability, customisation requests, order status, and after‑sales support when needed.
  • Maintain basic records of serious inquiries and conversions coming from social media for tracking and improvement.

Brand Experience & Community Building

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice, aesthetic, and quality standard across all social channels.
  • Encourage user‑generated content (UGC), reviews, and testimonials, and share them appropriately with permissions.
  • Engage with followers and relevant pages by liking, commenting, and participating in conversations to build a loyal community.
  • Support online campaigns such as giveaways, contests, influencer collaborations, or live sessions, including planning, execution, and moderation.

Coordination & General

  • Work closely with the management to align social media activities with overall business goals and sales targets.
  • Suggest new ideas, content formats, and campaigns to improve visibility and customer engagement.
  • Ensure all communication and content comply with brand guidelines and basic legal/ethical standards.
  • Perform any other related duties reasonably required to support digital marketing, customer communication, and online sales.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms (especially Instagram, TikTok and Facebook; bonus if familiar with YouTube, WhatsApp Business, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Basic photography and videography skills; ability to shoot aesthetically pleasing product content using phone or camera.
  • Basic editing skills for photos and short‑form videos (reels/shorts).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑friendly attitude.
  • Sales mindset: ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products confidently.
  • Organised and proactive, able to follow a content calendar and meet posting deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn continuously and adapt to new trends, tools, and platform changes.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
