We are looking for a motivated Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Sky Music in Clayton. This is a communication-heavy role where the majority of your day will be spent managing a high volume of customer interactions across email and digital channels. So if you're someone who can stay organised, respond quickly, and maintain a professional tone under pressure, this could be the perfect fit.
You'll also play a key role in supporting our dispatch team.
This is a varied position that suits someone who enjoys switching between communication tasks and operational responsibilities throughout the day.
What you'll doManage high-volume email communications
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries via email, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses across a busy shared inbox.
Coordinate across communication channels
Liaise with customers and internal teams through various digital channels, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and all threads are followed up promptly.
Handle inbound and outbound calls
Support customers over the phone, resolving queries efficiently and escalating where needed. Please note that this is NOT a call centre role, but call centre experience is desirable.
Operate inventory management software
Use our systems to track orders, update stock records when needed, and provide customers with accurate information on product availability and delivery status.
Collaborate across teams
Work closely with the dispatch team, sales team, logistics, and operations staff to resolve customer issues end-to-end and contribute to a smooth customer experience.
What we're looking forRequired
Proven experience managing high-volume email inboxes in a professional environment, this is central to the role.
Demonstrated experience with inventory management software.
Previous call centre or customer service experience in a high volume environment. Please not this is NOT a call centre role.
Excellent written communication skills, able to craft clear, professional responses quickly and consistently.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks without missing a beat.
Preferred
Experience working across platforms (e.g. Podium, Hubspot, CIN 7)
Background in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain customer support
Comfortable working independently at an offsite location with minimal supervision
