About us

We are a leading supplier of radio and critical communications equipment. The business is in a growth phase and requires a tech team member who loves working with technology and people. 

The right candidate will be exposed to working with world-class technology brands, including Motorola, Icom, Tait, JVC Kenwood, Wireless Pacific, 3M Peltor, UHF, WiFi & LTE products.

We need someone who is:

  • Tech-savvy, loves people and great customer service.

  • Has a passion for and an elementary understanding of telecommunications technologies such as IP Networking, UHF, WiFi & LTE. (Full training will be provided).

  • Pays close attention to technical detail & operating procedures.

  • Can explain complex technical information in an easy-to-understand manner to a non-technical audience. 

  • Is proactive, high-energy, and can work in a small team or independently.

  • Can communicate clearly with customers, confidently and fluently, in English.

  • Can assemble/unassemble equipment with tools.

The Job Commitment

This is a casual, yet professional, entry-level position offering approximately 20 hours per week onsite in our Burwood head office.

There may be an opportunity for additional hours during university holiday periods. You will also have the flexibility to complete your studies and take time off as necessary. 

Qualifications & experience

  • Currently studying or recently graduated from an engineering (communications) or related technical degree, such as science, mathematics or IT.

  • Minimum 2 years of related customer interaction experience. 

  • Competent knowledge of the use of a soldering iron and drills.

  • Be able to work independently and within a team.

  • Demonstrated history of taking responsibility and proactivity.

  • Professional telephone & email communication. Fluent in English.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assembly of electronic equipment.

  • Programming radio communication equipment (UHF / WiFi / LTE).

  • Service and diagnostic of radio equipment.

  • Professional communication with business and government clients.

  • Process orders & repairs of equipment.
