G&S BROS PTY LTD is a growing transport and logistics business based in Truganina, Victoria. We provide reliable transport solutions to a range of commercial clients and are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and operational efficiency.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations and support the ongoing growth of the business.

About the Role

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of fleet operations and ensuring the efficient utilisation of company vehicles. The successful applicant will coordinate maintenance activities, monitor compliance requirements, manage operational performance and assist in meeting customer service and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organise and coordinate daily fleet operations to meet business and customer requirements.

- Monitor vehicle utilisation, fleet performance and operational efficiency.

- Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections and preventative maintenance programs.

- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, workplace health and safety requirements, registration obligations and company policies.

- Maintain accurate records relating to servicing, maintenance, compliance and operational activities.

- Coordinate transport schedules and delivery requirements to ensure contractual obligations are met.

- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance expenditure and operational costs.

- Coordinate and monitor the activities of subcontractor drivers to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance with operational requirements.

- Liaise with customers, suppliers, contractors, service providers and regulatory authorities.

- Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions where required.

- Prepare operational reports and recommendations for management.

- Assist in preparing fleet budgets and monitoring operational expenditure.

- Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet utilisation, service delivery and overall operational performance.

- Identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity and cost efficiency across fleet operations.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants should possess:

• A Diploma, Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Mechanical Engineering,    Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in similar role. 
•  Applicants without formal qualifications must demonstrate at least three years of relevant experience in fleet management, transport operations or logistics    management.
• Demonstrated experience in managing fleet operations, transport activities or logistics functions.
• Sound understanding of vehicle maintenance programs, transport compliance requirements and operational planning.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and fleet management systems.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
