About the role: 
We are currently seeking experienced, compassionate Community Support Workers to join our team located in Ivanhoe & Preston (City if Banyule and City of Darebin Council) to provide high-quality care to clients living with complex disabilities, including supporting individuals who are non-verbal.

  • Care Program 1- INACTIVE NIGHTS:

    SHIFT 1 TUESDAY 10:00 PM  - WEDNESDAY – 11:00 AM
    SHIFT 2 WEDNESDAY 10:00 PM  - THURSDAY 11:00 AM

  • CARE Program 2:

    SHIFT 1 MONDAY & WEDNESDAY - 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

The successful candidate must hold the below skillset:

  • Bowel Care Management

  • Catheter Care

  • Manual Handling Hoist

  • PEG Care (Feeding and PEJ tube).

Role responsibilities:

  • Deliver support care to client with a high complex of disability

  • Provide High care including domestic assistance, meal preparation, PEG Feeding, complex Bowel care, manual handling and companionship

  • Support clients in our community needing assistance with social support, transport to appointments, shopping or community outings.

  • Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing.

  • Interact respectfully with the client’s dog while supporting the client


What we are looking for:

  • A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST.

  • Fluent in English and very clear communicator

  • Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is MUST

  • A registered and insured vehicle

  • A valid full or probationary Australian driver's license

  • Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.

  • Experience in either aged care or community is highly desirable.

  • Experience with high care clients is highly desirable.

  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate (mandatory) or willing to obtain.

  • Current Police Check (mandatory) or willing to obtain.

  • NDIS Worker screening check or willing to obtain.

  • Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
