About MOIRA
MOIRA is a registered charity supporting young people experiencing disadvantage, people living with disability, people living with chronic illness, their families, and carers. We work with people creatively and with efficacy to support personal aspirations and life goals.
As a MOIRA Team member, you’ll work with a group of vibrant, dedicated professionals guided by a shared set of values and a vision for people to live independent and fulfilling lives, creating their own stories and writing their own futures.
MOIRA Your Journey takes a person-centred approach to providing innovative programs and practical services to support young people across Melbourne and throughout Victoria.
What we offer:
About the role:
MOIRA Your Journey supports young people aged 15 -25 on their journey towards independence. Your Journey aims to support young people through development frameworks that equip young people with confidence and resources they need to live independently. Your Journey supports young people via Better Futures & Home Stretch, Targeted Care Packages and Housing & Homelessness services.
Your Journey aims to improve the outcomes of young people and enable them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Underpinned by the Advantage Thinking practice framework support is tailored to meet the individual needs of young people via individualised support to increase their social and economic participation.
The Youth Coach is a pivotal role which drives opportunities for young people to develop meaningful and sustainable relationships within their community. This is achieved by building access to new pathways, networks and resources. The Youth Coach provides support to young people related to the five life domains of Health and Wellbeing, Cultural and Community Connections, Education, Employment, and Housing.
Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, a Youth Coach walks alongside young people to build independence, set and achieve meaningful goals, and navigate complex systems with confidence. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact in a role that values flexibility, creativity, and genuine connection.
