Casual Disability Support Workers – Home Care - Mill Park VIC

Location: Mill Park, Victoria

Shift Type: Assistance with Self Care

Days: Weekend Shifts

Support Type: Assisting with daily living activities and community access assistance

About the role:

We are currently looking for reliable and dedicated Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis to support a male participant in the north, Mill Park VIC.

Essential Criteria:

  • Assisting individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and hygiene needs.

  • Assisting with manual handling for mobility assistance.

  • Supporting clients in their community engagement and participation in social and recreational activities.

  • Administering medication and following healthcare plans under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals.

  • Implementing behaviour support plans and providing emotional support and encouragement.

  • Assisting with household tasks, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Diploma/Certificate IV/ Certificate III in Mental Health, Community Services, or Disability Support.

  • Positive Behaviour Support Training

  • Victorian Driver’s License with comprehensive car insurance

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Valid Victorian Working with Children Check

  • Manual handling certificate and Medication administration certificate
