About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team, on a casual but permanent basis. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing individualised care and support to our clients with physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

  • Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events

  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to help clients reach their full potential

  • Collaborating with the client, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised support plans

  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest quality of care

  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification

  • Candidates currently studying towards their Certificate are also encouraged to apply

  • Minimum of 6 months previous experience working with people with disabilities is required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients

  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities

  • A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle

  • A commitment to upholding the principles of dignity, respect, and empowerment

  • Australian citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for this position

  • A valid NDIS Worker Check is required for this role
